G’day mate!
That’s exactly how this beautiful Pale Ale greets your palate.
If you’re looking for a low-ABV brew that still packs a hoppy punch with plenty of flavor, then you’ve come to the right place.
Australian For Pale Tasting Notes
Green Cheek Beer Company’s (Orange, CA) Australian For Pale clocks in at 5.8% ABV, pours a beautiful baby gold hue with a slight haze and a two-finger bubbly white head.
The grassy nose gives way to a hop-forward flavor profile that’s slightly dry, but the real standout is the citrusy, limey pop that hits you with each sip.
And with Australia in the name, you know the folks at Green Cheek piled on some of their favorite Southern Hemisphere hops (mine too) in Galaxy, Motueka, and Nelson.
Oh, and (no surprise) it took home the gold medal at the 2019 Great American Beer Festival in the Australian-style Pale Ale category.
All in all, a delicious and crushable beer that’s perfect for a sunny day down under (or anywhere for that matter).
This beer has been re-released a few times since taking home the gold, so if you see it make sure to grab some!
