Dead Squad: Absolutely Killer Beer

Make no bones about it, this beer is killer.

Some may even say it’s dead.

I’m talking about Dead Squad from the folks at Slice Beer, a West Coast IPA brewed with a blend of Nelson, Strata and Nectaron that clocks in at 6.8% ABV.

Pour this killer brew into a glass and it flaunts a light yellow gold hue, topped with a bubbly head that’s to die for.

If the look of the beer doesn’t tempt you, the smell will certainly lure you in with overwhelming aromas as the scent of danky blueberries takes center stage.

But brace yourself, because the flavor profile is dominated by a big dose of dank and herbaceous notes that’ll knock you out.

Dead Squad Tasting Notes

And it’s all thanks to that deadly hop billing.

Everyone knows I’m a fan of Nelson Sauvin (and if you didn’t now you do), so Dead Squad is off to a great start there.

The Nelson plays it usually stellar role, bringing all the dank and grapefruit citrus it can to this party.

It’s like the grim reaper of flavors, making it’s presence known with every sip. Thankfully, Nelson is not alone in this deadly dance.

Throw in some Strata for berries and herbs, and some Nectarine for big tropical fruit vibes, and you’ve got yourself a killer combo .

Strawberry (from the Strata) and stone fruit (from the Nectarine) notes make a brave attempt to complement the dankness, bringing a touch of sweetness to this shindig.

The danky essence lingers on the finish, haunting your taste buds.

Overall

Dead Squad is a true triumph of the afterlife, with its eerie yellow gold hue, bewitching berry aromas, and flavors that dance between the realms of life and death.

It’s a killer combination that will leave an unforgettable impression on your palate.

So, if you dare to venture into the realm of dank and herbaceous flavors, this brew awaits your presence.

Embrace the dark side of flavor and let your taste buds experience a deathly delicious adventure.
