Top 10 Beers of 2022

December 29, 2022

Ahh the end of another year.

A time to reflect…on the best beers I’ve had this year.

I drank a lot of good beers in 2022.

Certainly more than I can squeeze into a list.

So in this case, naming the top 10 beers of 2022 is definitely easier said than.

Remembering how a beer tasted last week is difficult, let alone several months back.

But that’s exactly why I use Untappd.

Think of it like an extra brain that stores all of my beer memories and thoughts.

It’s literally the only way I could even pull this list off.

Just to give you an idea. I logged and rated 125 different beers this year (And, I’m sure I missed some).

After all of those ounces logged, these were my top 10 beers of 2022:

  1. NZ-Fu! – 4.85/5 – North Park Beer Company
  2. Australian For Pale – 4.75/5 – Green Cheek Beer Company
  3. Hoppy Jr.  – 4.75/5 – North Park Beer Company
  4. Sticky-Fu! – 4.7/5 – Slice Beer Company & North Park Beer Company
  5. Blinding Sunrise – 4.7/5 – Slice Beer Company
  6. Dank Before Dying – 4.7/5 – North Park Beer Company
  7. Stoney Logger – 4.7/5 – Cellarmaker Brewing Company
  8. Saturation – 4.7/5 – Slice Beer Company
  9. Mt. Nelson – 4.65/5 – Highland Park Brewery
  10. Humboldt Seed, Batch 2 – 4.65/5 – Humble Sea Brewing Co.

Honorable Mention

There was only room for 10 in the list but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a ton of great beers that we had to leave out. Here are some more great beers from 2022 that barely missed the cut.

Strata Rocket (North Park Beer Company), DDH Timbo Pils (Highland Park Brewery), Smooth Is Fast (Green Cheek Beer Company)

Top 10 Beers of 2022 Review

Not a lot of surprises for me looking at these results. Tons of West Coast IPAs and all from the same handful of California breweries. Shoutout to all the breweries for doing what you do.

Have you tried any of these beers? Would any of these beers be in your top 10? Send us a message and let us know.
